Louis Boillot, Gevrey Chambertin Evocelles Vintage:2015(from the Brochon side). While not quite as elegant as the Chambolle, the natural refinement of Evocelles is very much on display with its cool, pure and equally airy aromas of red and blue pinot fruit, spice, tea and discreet earth nuances. There is a bit more volume and tension to the medium weight and strikingly welldelineated medium bodied flavors that possess an almost pungent minerality while delivering terrific length on the impeccably well

earth and sauvage aromas that are trimmed in just enough wood to notice

The palate is still unyielding

hints of candle wax emerging with time

it doesn't show any oak or alcohol

but its day will come

Pretty sweet but also piquant

I imagine the 2005 still has another decade of fine drinking to offer

but it would be a shame to miss out on this cuvee in its exuberantly fresh-fruited youth
