The labels emblem, a majestic galley ship, pays homage to the estates historical ties to the Duc dpernon, Admiral of France in the 16th century. The name Beychevelle is derived from Baisse Vaille, meaning lower sails, a command given as ships passed the Admirals
The vineyards of Chêne Bleu are situated at an elevation of approximately 550 meters above sea level
