Camille Giroud, Corton Renardes Vintage:2021A brooding and slightly grumpy nose grudgingly reveals its aromas of various dark berries, violet and plenty of sauvage and warm earth scents. The succulent yet powerful larger scaled flavors are not remarkably dense though they dont lack for punch on the vaguely sweet finish. This is perfectly good but not what I would call classic.

cherry and licorice aromas complicated by cooler notes of tobacco leaf

crème brûlée and marzipan

both of which can be found on the equally pure and almost painfully intense flavors that possess excellent power and pin point detail

There is excellent intensity to the nicely rich and markedly stony medium weight flavors that flash impressive depth and persistence

finishing long and spicy

12% Syrah and 3% Viognier

A highly perfumed bouquet evokes fresh black and blue fruits

there are no single vineyard wines
