The metal tends to tear over time, especially if stiffer shocks are used. This is really cheap insurance to not need to repair shock mounts in the future which is known to be costly. There is a reason BMW sells replacement shock tower replacements (41148169028) that need to be welded in. AVOID

They are manufactured from a sturdy polyurethane material to allow them to flex and take a beating without exploding into a million pieces upon impact like most cheaply produced knock-offs

They even include a 1mm registration mark on all windows at the bottom so you know exactly where to mount them on the rail

We also offer these bushings in solid aluminum for the ultimate and rigidity and performance without compromise

Remove the 4 philips screws that hold the odometer in place

We recommend a professional automotive technician install any of our products

E46 (non-M) chassis will require 2x of these bushings
